Paris in April 2025: What to Expect

In all my years in Paris, I've always found April to be the busiest time of the year. I get that it's the height of spring and people want to go out and all, but I find it overwhelming at times. It's exciting, for sure, and I already have many plans for April 2025 in Paris, but if you don't know where to go and what to do, you'll end up as confused as I was when I first moved here. Hence, I'm here to help you with just that! I will be sharing some of the best events in Paris this April 2025, which will include Comic Con France, Carnaval des Femmes, and the Paris Marathon.

See International Artists Live in Paris

I'm so excited about the upcoming slate of concerts this April 2025 in Paris. No less than Usher and Tyler, The Creator will take to the stage at the Accor Arena in the 12th arrondissement. I live a fair distance away from it, but I will be going to these concerts. I'm especially excited for Usher! I'm a loud and proud millennial, and Usher was my jam back in high school! I even continue to listen to his greatest hits on Spotify, and I have no doubt he'll perform them at his concert from April 15 to 16, 2025. Tyler, The Creator, on the other hand, will perform at the same place from April 27 to 28, 2025.

Watch The Fountain Shows at Versailles

This isn't exactly a single event, but you might be interested! The Palaces of Versailles will begin its annual string of grand musical fountain shows on April 1, 2025. It's a fantastic light and musical extravaganza that includes amazing orchestral performances against dancing waters and flashy fireworks. Set against the famously opulent Versailles, the former residence of the French Royal Family, each show is an experience you will never forget. I went to some of them last year and a couple of years back, and I enjoyed them. It's a great way to spend time with family and friends on a lively summer night in Paris.

Check Out The Annual Art Paris Contemporary Show

I get wanting to go to famous museums like the Louvre or Musée de l'Orangerie, but I suggest checking the Art Paris Contemporary Show this April 2025 in Paris. This annual event puts contemporary and modern art front and center, presenting a nice contrast to the classic paintings and historic pieces hung in these iconic museums. The show, which will be held at the Grand Palais from April 3 to 6, 2025, will feature works from popular artists, emerging names, and donations from some of the best art galleries in Paris and beyond. Discover The Empowering Carnaval des Femmes

Carnaval des Femmes is a small event, but it's still worth seeing if you'll already be in Paris this April 2025. March might be the official Women's Month, but Paris will still celebrate women this April 6, 2025, for “Fête des Blanchisseuses.” It's this annual parade of women dressed as queens and as famous female figures in French and World history. Think Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Queen Guinevere, and more. It's a celebration of womanhood and women's unmistakable power in affecting and impacting the world. And if men want to join in on the fun, they'll be required to dress as queens too!

Experience Hanami in Paris

Did you know that there are cherry blossoms in Paris? There are actually a lot of them in the city, and just like Japan, the French capital hosts viewing festivals (Hanami) at the start of spring. This year, the beloved festival in Parc de Sceaux will begin on April 4, 2025, and will go on until April 21, 2025. It's usually around this time that the cherry blossoms fully bloom, painting the Parisian sky with a lovely pinkish glow that's unlike any other. The scene is so beautiful that the festival doesn't need any concerts or games to distract from all the natural beauty!

Go to The Circus with Family!

Are you the parents of little kids who live in Paris? And are you looking for events to bring them to this April 2025? If you are, then you're in luck! The Circus shows at Jardin d'Acclimation will begin on April 6, 2025. They're traditional circus extravaganzas complete with hilarious clowns, amazing acrobats, funny animals, and more. I know that circuses aren't exactly new, but the ones held at Jardin d'Acclimation are truly entertaining. I love how classic the experience is; it was as if I was transported back to the early 19th century the moment I walked into the tent.

Have Fun at Comic Con France

Fellow nerds, rejoice! Comic Con France will return this April 2025 in Paris! While I admit that this version is nowhere near as big and as lively as the famous San Diego Comic Con in the US, it's still a fun event! I go every year and trust that 2025 will be no exception. I'm especially excited for this year because the guests are stellar! As a huge fan of the original “Charmed” (1998) series, I'm stoked to meet Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, and Brian Krause. Other guests will include Robert Patrick, Diana Lee Inosanto, James Marsters, Chandler Riggs, and the great Giancarlo Esposito.

Witness The Iconic Paris Marathon 2025

I admit I'm far from the sporty type, so I've never and will never join the Paris Marathon. More power to those who participate every year, but I will never be one of them! With that said, however, I do watch it every year. As averse to sports as I am, I'm always inspired watching these fit runners race through different neighborhoods in Paris. I could see how important this event is in their faces, and I always cheer them on when they pass by my place. This year's marathon will be on April 13, 2025.

Celebrate Easter Sunday in Paris

I can't end this list without mentioning Easter Sunday. It's already Lenten Season as I'm writing this now, and I saw many people go to mass this past Ash Wednesday. I always forget how many Roman Catholics there are in Paris and while I'm sure there aren't that many of them openly practicing the faith, I'm sure they'll be celebrating Easter Sunday. I already have plans with my family next month, namely bringing my nieces along to one of the many Easter Egg hunts in the city. It's always a good time and a great way to bond with my loved ones.
